Specifics about dog portraits: In order to capture the dog, I use many different mediums to get the personality just right; although the majority of the painting is done with acrylic paint, I also use chalk, ink, gesso, and anything else I can get my hands on to make the picture look as realistic as possible! The process typically takes anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks, and the dog portraits are painted on quality canvas - the size that usually works best is 12in.x16in. The edges are painted the same color as the background so your painting is ready to hang when you get it! The price for a painting is $350, and that also depends on the size of the painting and the number of dogs being painted.
